Résumé : |
Buildings account for nearly a third of global energy consumption, emphasizing the need for energy-efficient urban spaces as urbanization and climate change accelerate. Current energy simulation methods struggle with real-time data integration, broader urban context considerations, and data loss during exchanges. This project addresses these challenges by integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and the Internet of Things (IoT) through web semantic technologies to enhance Urban Building Energy Modeling (UBEM). The proposed ontology-based methodology improves system interoperability, incorporates renewable energy analysis like photovoltaic (PV) panels, to supports informed decisions on retrofitting and energy efficiency strategies.
A case study for simulations demonstrated significant improvements in accuracy by integrating BIM data, real-time IoT inputs, and GIS-derived urban context. This approach enabled more precise energy demand forecasting by incorporating factors such as weather data, building geometry, the analysis of neighboring building shadows, and real-time simulations. Additionally, PV potential analysis revealed opportunities to enhance solar energy efficiency, emphasizing the model’s potential for reducing energy consumption and promoting sustainability in urban settings. |
